Yesterday, I posted this:
My son just told me he’s gay
I burst into tears
But not for the reason you think
You see, I understand that statistically, men earn about 20% more than women
Marrying a man instead of a woman is simply a wise long-term financial decision
So proud of my son ❤️

It could become my most-liked post ever. It already is the most liked post for the Chase account, breaking the previous record of 199k from this post:
I do 50 to 60 job interviews in here everyday
I never hire anyone
But about half the applicants buy a drink from the vending machine after I subtly encourage them to
I make $300 a day in passive income with this method

The only other one to beat is this post from the John W. Rich account:
Congratulations to the IRS on winning the $846.3 million Mega Millions Jackpot!

So why is this post getting so many likes?
A viral post is all about framing:
In this case, I framed a common debate (gay marriage) in a new way that most people probably hadn’t thought of.
One of Chase’s common themes is only caring about deeply personal issues from a financial perspective. For example:
My wife and I have an understanding
She gets a free pass with any man who has a higher net worth than me
It’s the ultimate motivation to keep me grinding 🤑 💪

I played around with the phrasing of the first post for probably 10 minutes or so before coming up with post I made.
There was no exact process for this. Instead, I’m just turning over random ideas in my head and changing out slight details until I land on something that I think will work.
It’s much more of an art than a science, and I’ve developed a feel for what will work.
